Scot Smith (Great Scot) became interested in magic at the age of 8, when he saw his first magic show at a local carnival.  The magician performed a trick where he place one little red sponge ball in Scot's hand and another little red sponge ball in his own hand.  With the wave of a magic wand, the ball in the magician's hand disappeared and appeared in Scot's closed fist.  Scot was hooked. He read every magic book he could find, and soon started performing magic shows for friends and family.  As a teenager, Scot's interest changed from Magic to Girls (of course), but he never lost his love of magic.

After High School, Scot joined the US Navy and spent 7 years serving his country. Magic took a back seat during this time, but was never far from his mind. Marraige, Children and Career took most of his time, but the magic bug kept eating at him and he continued to be involved in magic in small ways and never stopped learning and practicing the craft.

In 1994 Scot's love of magic soared again when he found a small magic shop in Carmichael, California named "Grand Illusions". Scot and the owner of the shop became fast friends and Scot's interested skyrocketed.  magic consumed his life again and he started doing paid shows at the end of 1994.  Since then Scot has performed for a large variety of audiences, from private parties, restaurants, corporate outings, weddings and even center stage at the California State Fair.

Scot specializes in magic for Childrens parties, but is equally adept at amazing and entertaining Families and Adults. His shows are filled with amazing magic and infectious humor that keeps audiences of all ages entertained and astoundeded.
