Bringing Magic into the lives of children

Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I hire you for my child's birthday party?

You have many choices for birthday party entertainment. There are many good entertainers, but there are many poor ones also. I make my full time living doing magic, I am not a part time amateur. I am considered one of the premier children's entertainers in the Greater Sacramento Area. I love kids, and I love making them feel special. I am so confident that I will make your child's birthday special that I offer a money back guarantee, and I have never been asked to honor that guarantee.

Why do you cost more than other magicians I have called?

I have 2 answers to this. First, you get what you pay for. Second, when you factor in the goodie bags, I supply along with the birthday gift I give the child, my prices are very competitive. I also give discounts and referral fees or gifts to those who use my services and then refer others to me.

Do you use live animals?

I have made a choice to not use live animals in my act. I love animals and my schedule does not allow me time to take proper care of animals for my show. During the hot months of summer, I may have 3 shows on a given day with long distances between shows. For an animal to be cooped up in a hot box, waiting to be presented at the end of a 45 minute show that is held outdoors would be cruel to that animal. Because I cannot guarantee the conditions I am working in, I would rather not take the chance with an animals health.

What do I need to supply for you?

I am very self sufficient. The only thing I need to do 95% of my shows is an area approximately 8 feet wide by 4 feet deep to set up in. There can be nothing behind me that might compromise the magic ( mirrors, cameras, etc). Although not necessary, 110volt power is nice for my CD player, although it does run on batteries. I have been known to perform in conditions from large stages to the smallest of living rooms.

How do I pay you?

At this time, I can accept payments by cash or check only. I expect to be accepting credit cards in the very near future. I collect my fee at the end of my performance. If required, I can send you a receipt in the mail.

What about tipping?

I am in the service business. Tips are accepted but not expected. If I exceed your expectations, a tip is greatly appreciated. I have received tips ranging from $5.00 to $100.00 and everything in between. It is entirely up to you.

Do you do FREE Shows?

I am a charitable person, and I donate time and money to several charities, but magic is how I make my living. I will give discounts to charitable organizations. Tax laws do not allow me to "write off" the value of a show I have donated, so typically the way I handle such requests from non-profit charities is to charge for my show but give back a large portion of my fee as a donation.
